Who we are
This website is operated by Amy Stern for Berkeley County Council (“the campaign,” “we,” “us”), the campaign committee supporting Amy Stern’s candidacy for Berkeley County Council District 5 in the general election of November 3, 2026.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. That may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your ZIP code, precinct, or neighborhood
- How you told us you would like to volunteer, and any notes you added
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver’s license number, or any financial account information. Do not send those through this website.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- Send you campaign updates, event invitations, and voting reminders
- Follow up with you about volunteering
- Ask for your support, including financial support
- Meet our record-keeping obligations under South Carolina law
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and check the consent box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from the campaign. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of volunteering.
To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. You may also email or message the campaign and ask to be removed.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with vendors who work for the campaign and need it to do their job — for example, the service that delivers our email or text messages, or our donation processor — and with anyone we are legally required to report to.
Campaign contributions are subject to disclosure under South Carolina law. If you donate, information about your contribution may become part of a public report filed with the South Carolina State Ethics Commission.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set advertising cookies. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and map and directions links point to Google Maps; those services have their own privacy practices. If we add analytics later, this page will be updated to say so.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact the campaign and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to correct your information or remove you from our lists. Reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or contact the campaign directly and we will take care of it.
Terms of use
The content on this site is provided for informational purposes. Election dates, deadlines, precinct assignments, and polling locations are published here as a convenience and are believed accurate at the time of writing, but they can change. The official source is always the South Carolina Election Commission at scvotes.gov and the Berkeley County Voter Registration & Elections office at (843) 719-4056. Confirm your own registration and polling place there before you vote.
The Amy Stern for Berkeley County Council name, logo, and photography on this site belong to the campaign and may not be used without permission.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
